We add value to sisal waste
We are a bioprocessing company transforming East Africa’s vast sisal waste into high-value sustainable products like animal feed, protein, biochar and clean energy to tackle critical food, energy and climate challenges.
Production of high-quality natural sisal fibre creates large amounts of lignocellulosic biomass that is currently underutilised. Sasa sisal has established ways to take this waste and convert it into sustainable products. One method is using black soldier fly larvae to consume the plant biomass, which produces high-protein feed for markets such as fish feed and other livestock.
